Limited-Edition 911 GT2 RS Model Marks 25 Years of Manthey

Porsche will build only 30 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 units.

Manthey-Racing GmbH was founded 25 years ago. Porsche took a 51-percent stake in the racing organization in 2013. Porsche has created an exclusive model, the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport25, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. It’s built to take on and dominate the racetrack.

The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 looks similar to the modern Porsche 935, which was released in 2018. Both are based on the 991-generation 911 GT2 RS Clubsport model. The Clubsport 25 is designed to bridge the tech and aerodynamic gap between the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 and the 992 generation. It features a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine of 3.8-liters producing 691 horsepower (515 megawatts). Porsche’s seven-speed Porsche dual clutch (PDK), gearbox routes power to the rear wheels.

Porsche was inspired by Manthey’s 911 GT3 R. This model is known for its distinctive green and yellow livery, “Grello”. This color combination is reflected in Porsche’s racer through its bold accents. The radiator, which is centrally located in the radiator keeps the front cool and allowing for optimal airflow, is one of the cars most distinctive features. It is located behind the new front apron’s central inlet. Aero is an important part of the car’s performance. Porsche gave it a closed underbody and a redesigned carbon fiber front lid.

Porsche was able to improve the airflow to its front brakes through a repositioned radiator and revised front-end design by removing the radiators from the front fenders. These modifications are only a few of the many Porsche made to the car, both inside and outside. The badge is a limited edition and has a welded in safety cage. Porsche will only build 30 examples of this car. Each one will cost EUR525,000 ($621,250 at current exchange rate) plus any country-specific taxes. Porsche anticipates that deliveries will begin in January 2022.
