Lincoln Continental Conceived as a Slammed Mafia Car with Purple Interior

It’s a good thing.

The Lincoln Continental has been killed. While this is a sad news for those who love the large luxury sedan, it is the last nail in the coffin of three-box sedans built in the USA under Ford Motor Company.

Abimelec apparently loves the nameplate and has called the Continental “one the most beautiful cars to have come out of Detroit in recent times.” As a tribute to the death of the Continental, we see them making classic take on modern cars. However, they have released a series renderings.

Abimelec wanted a “laying frame” look so the Continental is slammed to a floor and fitted with polished Detroit Steel Wheel Co. wheels. We like the combination of the steel wheels and the lower height. The satin black paint color is a perfect match for the lowered height.

Abimelec has envisioned a purple cabin for the Lincoln Continental. This includes dark oak wood inserts that further enhance the car’s mafia appearance. This car would be perfect for Penguin’s private ride in Gotham.

This is quite fitting as Continentals from the past were often used by mafias, at least in movies. This would be a solid representation of their classic counterpart. You can think of it as a mafia car with suicide doors and Tommy guns.

For the third time, the last Lincoln Continental has been rolled off the assembly lines. Although it may seem impossible to hope for a return, sedans might come back in fashion in ten years.
