Long Live the Zonda: Here’s The Pagani Fantasma Evo

Listen to the owner’s story about the “ghost” Zonda.

Pagani introduced the Zonda hypercar in 1995. It has been 20 years. The rich history of the Zonda’s nearly two-decade-long existence has been fascinating.

The production of the Zonda was ended with the HP Barchetta in 2017. However, there have been several unique creations from the 760 series. One of these is the Zonda Fantasma. This literally means “ghost” in Italian. The Fantasma is a fascinating story on its own. However, it’s equally interesting to learn about the events that led to its remake.

Long Live the Zonda: Here's The Pagani Fantasma Evo

The video at the top of this page shows the Fantasma Evo performing in the metal as it was filmed by the YouTube channel Seen through Glass. Jon Hui is the owner. Although he did not want to appear in front of the camera he was kind enough to tell the story of Fantasma Evo using his own voice.

In 2017, was introduced the Zonda Phantomtasma Avo. It is a one-of-1 Fantasma version. This was a rebuild of a Metallic Orange 760 with chassis 53 that was involved in a crash in 2012. The Fantasma is a rebuilt model that has an exposed carbon fiber body and Tricolore outlines.

Jon Hui was not satisfied with the rebuilt version. Instead, he sent his Fantasma to Pagani asking them to make it hardercore so that it could be given an Evo title. The result? The result? More carbon fiber, a manual transmission, and a whole new world full of Zonda goodness.

Although the car is old, the Fantasma Evo still remains a highly desirable hypercar of 760 horsepower with a rich history. The video below tells the owner’s story.
