Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien Channels Porsche 959 For Off-Road Supercar

You have the 911 Turbo S you’ve always wanted, with 818 horsepower.

We’re still waiting for Porsche to release a Safari-spec 911. But the aftermarket market is ready to step in. The new Marsien is a new upgrade package that takes the already impressive Zuffenhausen sports car to the next level. Marc Philipp Gemballa (son of Uwe Gemballa tuning company owner), designed the off-road supercar.

What is it? It is a 992-generation 911 Turbo S designed for desert running. The car has a 250-mm (9.8 in) ground clearance in offroad mode and 120 mm (4.7in) in onroad mode. The body is made of carbon fiber and was designed by Alan Derosier (a Porsche enthusiast who is well-known for his 908 design study).

Marc Philipp Gemballa and KW Automotive collaborated to create a Marsien’s custom suspension. It features a double-wishbone front setup that relies on active control and solid piston damper technology. The rear suspension has a multi-link design and features an adjustable ride height that allows you to switch between on-road or off-road modes. The dampers can handle any terrain in 20 milliseconds.

Ruf-tweaked flat-six engines produce 740 horsepower (552kW) in the base configuration, and up to 818 horsepower (610kW) when they are upgraded with VTG turbochargers. The maximum torque of the Marsien is 930 Newton-meters (686-pound-feet). An Akrapovic titanium exhaust was specifically designed for this project.

All-terrain machines ride on 20/21 inch centerlock forged wheels with performance Michelins tires for the on-road set, and switch to 19/20 inch forged wheels wrapped with all-terrain rubber on the off-road set. The former set can sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h), from a standstill, in 2.6 seconds, and reaches a maximum speed of 205 mph (335 km/h). The top speed in off-road mode is 130 mph (210 km/h).

There will be only 40 dunes-bashing vehicles made, and over half of them have been sold. The vehicle’s starting price is EUR495,000. At current exchange rates, it would be worth approximately $583,000. It does not include the donor 911 Turbo S. The listed price also excludes taxes, shipping costs, and any other options that the owner may want.

Last note: Marc Philipp Gemballa and Gemballa Tuning are not related in any way. They’re two entirely different companies.
