The cover comes with a custom-made car cover and has a two-tone hand-painted finish.
Mercedes did not abandon the Maybach brand, even though the 62 and 57 models that were born during the DaimlerChrysler era didn’t compete well with Bentley and Rolls-Royce. The three-pointed star made a fresh start in 2014 with Mercedes-Maybach, a sub-brand that focuses primarily on the S-Class, but also includes side projects such as the G650 Landaulet, and the luxurious S650 Cabriolet.
The Maybach now offers an SUV companion for the stately S-Class. This is similar to the EQS electric sedan, which will spawn an EQS SUV with the double M logo in 2023. Daimler celebrates Maybach’s centenary. However, technically it marks 100 years since its first production car. The original Luftfahrzeug-Motorenbau GmbH company dates back to 1909 before changing its name to Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH in 1912.
The new Maybach S-Class Edition 100, which is the most advanced version of the German luxury barge, is a far cry from the Pullman models. The new Maybach S-Class Edition 100 is based on the V12 model with 621 horsepower. It comes in an extravagant sedan in a two-tone Cirrus silver / Nautical Blue handpainted finish.
Edition 100 is a special edition of the Maybach S-Class. It rides on shiny gray wheels with custom “Edition 100”, lettering that denotes the vehicle’s limited-run status. The Edition 100 also comes with a custom car cover and special badges for the C-pillars. The Maybach S-Class’s crown jewel gets leather upholstery in Crystal White and Silver Gray Pearl.
You’ll get every luxury feature you could want, from a Burmester surround sound system to a noise-insulated first-class rear section. You will also find several “Edition 100” inscriptions throughout the interior of the Edition 100.
The production will be limited to 100 units in the world, with some going to the United States next. Although pricing details are not known, you can assume it will be quite expensive considering that the Maybach S-Class S680 with V12 starts at EUR217,323 in Germany.
