The body gets dive planes and a large rear wing.
The McLaren GT3X is a brand-new track car that takes all the rules out of McLaren’s current track car. You can also bring a passenger along to join the fun.
There are many modifications to the engine, including larger turbos and manifolds. McLaren constructs each powerplant manually and blueprints the heads. An upgraded cooling system is available to handle the additional power.
The body has massive rear wings and dive planes at both the front and back corners. These planes help the GT3X stay on the track and improve its lap times. The suspension is the same as the standard racer but has upgraded brakes.
The rollcage has been redesigned inside. This allows for an optional passenger seat. The cabin is business-like without any frills. The steering wheel is motorsport-derived and features a lot of carbon fiber.
McLaren’s GT3X website allows potential buyers to register their interest in this track car. It doesn’t specify when deliveries will begin or what the vehicle cost. The standard GT3 is $564,000 so you can expect it to be quite expensive.
The GT3X is no longer compliant with the GT3 rulesbook. You won’t see it in competition and you can’t drive it on the roads. They would instead be able attend high-end track days all over the globe.
