Mercedes Celebrates LGBTQ Pride with Rainbow-Colored G Class

Mercedes is the latest automaker that has displayed a Pride-themed model.

Mercedes-Benz is the latest automaker that has created a special-colored vehicle in celebration of Pride. This machine is made using a G Class to apply the rainbow color gradient.

The nose is pinkish and the color changes begin. The bulge at the front of the hood is also green, for an additional pop of color. The hue changes to purple at the base of A-pillar. The doors change from being blue at the front to becoming green at their back. The tail is finally yellow. The vehicle is contrasted with black wheels and a matching brushcard on the roof.

Mercedes is currently working on a new 4×4 Squared, which will make the SUV even more rugged. The SUV has a higher ride height and larger fenders. There is also a roof rack with a light bar at the front. The upcoming model will be available in a rainbow color scheme. We think it would look great with off-road-ready styling.

Mercedes is not the only automaker to create special Pride vehicles, particularly among European companies. Ford has recently created a Ranger Raptor with rainbow and gold sparkles to celebrate Christopher Street Day in Cologne (Germany). Ford called it the Very Gay Raptor, after a commenter on social media said that the truck’s shade Performance Blue was “very gay”.

Bentley also enjoys celebrating Pride. It displayed a Bacalar in a rainbow color scheme, with stacked stripes of each colour decorating the body. For Cheshire East’s 2020 Virtual Pride event, the automaker also made a Continental GT Convertible with rainbow wrap .

BMW did something similar with its 8 Series Convertible in 2020. It applied a rainbow wrap on the body. Similar efforts were made in New York City the year before by the company.
