Mini Rooftop transforms the car into an artful piece of rolling art. To put their artwork on these vehicles, the brand has partnered with three immigrant and first-generation artists. This limited edition artwork will not be available.

Rich Tu created an image of a hand, with an eye at the center and curly tendrils surrounding it. The work is called “Hiraya” from a Filipino word that means “fruit of dreams, hopes, and aspirations.” He is a Filipino-American artist who lives in Brooklyn, New York. He hosts the First Generation Burdenpodcast on the intersection of immigrant and creative community.
Shane Griffin’s “ChromaFlow”, an artwork depicting what appears to be a multicolored sheet flapping in wind, is Shane Griffin’s. He is an internationally acclaimed multi-disciplinary visual artist, originally from Dublin, Ireland. He now lives in New York. He has worked with many brands including Nike, Adidas, Givenchy and Kanye West.
Shawna X created the image “Roads We Travel”. The image depicts people in different poses, with colorful ovals behind. She uses multiple media, including digital, spatial and motion spaces, to create her art.
These works of art will be featured on murals in Brooklyn’s SoHo neighborhood and Portland, Oregon.
Mini will also make a donation to American Immigration Council. This non-profit organization believes that immigrants are an integral part of our national fabric.
Mini is currently developing its next generation models. The goal is to make the new models more expensive by using different materials. This would also include extensive use recycled materials. The company will also stop using leather.
The brand’s final model with a engine will be available in 2025. All future products will be electrified after that. All vehicles will be fully electric by the 2030s.
