Mini Porsche 911 Go-Kart for Sale with Whale Tale

Automakers built go-karts in the 1980s. Oldsmobile made it to celebrate the Aerotech record. However, it seems that Porsche may have been a model for them. The Porsche 911 Junior was a small go-kart that the German automaker built for sale through Porsche dealers. It featured a Honda engine and a two speed gearbox.

The flat-six motor is not hidden behind the tail. It is powered by a Honda four-stroke one-cylinder engine with a strong 2.1 horsepower (1.6 kilowatts). Although it only has a 1.6 kilowatt engine, the engine can propel the go-kart up to 25 km/h (15 miles per hour). According to the ad, the maximum speed can be adjusted.

The engine is paired with a manual two-speed gearbox. This little go-kart has a three-pedal setup including the multi-plate, wet clutch. One pedal for the gas and one to stop the car are flanked by the third pedal. A reverse gear is also available in the gearbox. There is seating for one and power routes to the rear wheels. According to the ad, the 1983 Porsche 911 Cabriolet Junior has been restored to “Collector’s Condition”, which is evident in the photos.
