It is possible to.
Mitsubishi is part of the Renault/Nissan alliance and has access to many technologies and platforms. Although this doesn’t necessarily mean that the company will spend money to revive the, we do have reasons to believe that a new sedan could be made by the brand. It’s not possible right now, but it might one day. Probably.
Our friends at Kolesa.ru The idea of a Galant-style successor was born. Even at first glance, the renderings look fantastic. It is able to look modern and up-to-date while still keeping in touch with its predecessors. It is not pretentious, nor aggressive. Just a job well done.
The ninth generation Galant was still available for purchase until 2012, and it was the last Galant. The tenth-gen model was basically a rebadged Mitsubishi Lancer model for Japan and Brunei. It had nothing to do the original model.
These renderings show more similarities to the eighth-gen Galant, which is ( likely) still our favorite. This sedan (and wagon in certain markets) stands for straight lines, clean design language and smooth V6 engines. It was great if you are okay with dealing with rust issues.
Although we do see some Renault Talisman influences, it’s not a bad price to pay to get the Galant back on roads in a modern version. The French sedan is actually based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s only platform that can be used to revive the Galant.
