Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Rendering Brings Tears To Our Eyes

It’s a drawing, so don’t get too excited.

Mitsubishi announced in May that it was , reviving Ralliart brand. However, the excitement was short-lived as the automaker recently introduced the moniker as an accessory package for its two utility models in Thailand. Although we were hoping for something more, it seems that the company will continue to build boring but profitable crossovers and trucks. This means that no Evolution models will be coming.

It became apparent that Mitsubishi was considering getting back into motorsport this summer. However, there are no plans to launch a new Lancer Evolution. Although the door isn’t closed completely, “the company is still insufficiently strong” to spend money on a performance sedan. This brings us to the rendering at the top of the page and the gallery below.

This image is courtesy of Kolesa.ru. It depicts a modern Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Although there aren’t any positive signs that this performance sedan will be revived, Nikita Chuiko, the designer of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, decided to make us smile. The new performance sedan comes in striking yellow with the brand’s trademarked, X-shaped front fascia.

Although the overall shape of this virtual car is very similar, there are some subtle differences. The car’s unique look is enhanced by the bold-looking taillights at the rear that reach to the fenders. It’s hard not to be impressed with the work done here. We wish there was some hope for the Lancer Evolution. This doesn’t seem to be true at the moment, but we never know what tomorrow will bring.
