Muammar Gaddafi Orders Maybach 57S Coupe

It’s still available.

Remember the Maybach 57S Coupe? This is the car Moammar Gaddafi originally ordered in 2010. Unfortunately, it never made it to its destination because of the fall of his government one year later. This new video shows all the details that make this Maybach two-door so special.

The Xenatec coachbuilder converted the large coupe to a larger one. Although the initial goal of the company was to build approximately 100 Maybach 57S Coupes, only 10 were built. In fact, only eight examples were built according to this video.

The two-tone 57S Coupe, which is also the fourth model made by the company, makes a brief appearance in the video. The car is a sporty looking white car with black wheels and roof, as well as a blackened radiator grille. It’s also possible to see the first Xenatec produced car. This is a luxurious example in black.

The beige coupe is the star of this show. It features a similar interior color scheme. The interior features three leather colors: beige, cream and black for the doors and parts of the dashboard. The two-tone design is even used on the steering wheel.

The V12 engine underneath the hood looks almost like a dinosaur from an earlier era. The 6.0-liter engine produces 640 horsepower (471 Kilowatts) as well as 738 pound-feet (1,099 Newton-meters), of torque. The car’s power is directed to the rear wheels and the standard sedan version weighed 6,050 lbs (2,744 kg).

This luxurious coupe is still available to buy. It is currently being offered by Autoleitner in the Netherlands. However, you will need to pay approximately EUR961,950 (or $1.16million at current exchange rates) to get it.
