Munich Motor Show Debuts Seven-Seat Dacia

It is likely to be a replacement for both the Lodgy van or MCV wagon.

When manufacturers announce their presence at major car shows, you know that the automotive industry is gradually returning to its traditional mode of operation. The IAA will feature Dacia, Renault’s budget arm. It will also be there with a world premiere. Although it doesn’t yet have an official name, the car is described as a versatile seven-seater family vehicle.

It’s likely that it’s a production version of the long roof prototypes that our spies have seen in recent months. It is expected that the new Dacia model will replace the Logan MCV wagon as well as the Lodgy van. It could be the first model to sport the brand’s new logo, depending on when it goes on sale. The updated avatar will be available on Dacias starting in the second half of 2022.

You might think that the new Dacia model will be unveiled in Germany on September 3. It will be the Bigster, an SUV with a larger C segment than the Duster. The production model will not be available until the middle of next decade, even though it was shown at the start of the year.

The upcoming three-row model will be a crossover-minivan mashup that uses the latest-generation Logan/Sandero. We expect the Dacia to sell the vehicle with a larger engine and enough power to carry seven people and their luggage, given its likely larger footprint than the hatchback and sedan.

The entire Dacia portfolio will be on display at the IAA in September, including the Duster facelift as well as the Spring electric crossover. Renault, the parent company, will also be present at the show to reveal the production version its Megane E-Tech hybrid crossover, which is a sister model to the Nissan Ariya.
