Musk’s kind words go a long way in helping Tesla fans.
It’s hard to deny the influence Elon Musk exerts on Tesla product owners and fans. The Tesla Cybertruck is a perfect example. Although it has yet to be revealed in production, there are countless reservation holders awaiting the all-electric pickup. We’ve seen everything, from Cybertruck-themed truck nuts and campers waiting for the truck to arrive.
We took a deep dive into an Cyberlandr’s innovative concept camper is a great idea It was back in April. The Cybertruck’s bed can accommodate the camper. This preserves the truck’s aerodynamics and minimizes the impact on range. The camper lifts from the bed to create a small living area that includes a full kitchen, sleeping area, and separate bathroom.
It’s a clever idea. Musk seems to approve of the Cybertruck camping concept. He recently posted a tweet describing the Cyberlandr as “cool” and a brief message about it.
This is just speculation at the moment. Tesla has not yet released the Cybertruck’s final production design, so there aren’t any dimensions that can be used to build a camper shell or a prototype. Cybertruck enthusiasts are still eager to pay cash to reserve their Cyberlandr camper. Cyberlandr co-founder Bill French stated that the company had more than 1,000 reservations as of April 31st. The all-electric camper is not cheap and the potential revenue from reservations is over $50 million, provided that all reservations are converted to sales.
The Cyberlandr’s best price will be available to early reservations holders who pay a $5,000 downpayment. However, the Cyberlandr’s price is still $39,995 , according to the company’s website. There were 20 spots available at this rate. All reservations have been filled. Reserve holders can still make $1,000 deposits to purchase the camper for $43,995, or there is unlimited space for $100 deposits for $44,995. The cost of a Cyberlandr camper will rise to $49,995 if you wait for it to be built.
The Cybertruck will be available for purchase starting at $40,000 according to Tesla. This means that the Cyberlandr will likely cost more than other truck trims. We are confident that many of these reservations will be fulfilled, despite Musk’s generous words about the camper idea. The big question is when it will happen. Initial Cybertruck production was supposed to begin in 2021, but we haven’t seen a final design and half of the year has gone. The truck will be the vehicle to test and allow for actual development/testing.
