It’s not a problem if you don’t have big grilles.
We found a very unusual prototype BMW just earlier today. Although we aren’t sure what it was used for, it is worth noting that there were only two seats and no exhaust pipes. It remains to be determined if it is an all electric performance coupe from the Bavarian brand. We do know that BMW has begun work on the next-generation M2.
In February, spy photos of a prototype camouflaged in camouflage showed us our first encounter with M2 and we were able to take spy photos. Although the photos were not very clear, we were able take a look at the overall shape of the M2 and its proportions. This rendering was created by Motor.es, which is a preview of the new M2.
The attached image shows that the RWD proportions for the hot hatch have been preserved. This has an easy explanation. The M2’s long hood and short rear signal that it will continue to use rear-wheel drive. This will make it the only BMW small car in the segment. All other models below the 3 Series are now equipped with an FWD architecture.
This rendering suggests a front fascia that has relatively small grilles. It is not in line with the design language of the M4. Based on the spy photos available, it appears that the virtual drawing depicts the front fascia. However, we will have to wait for the official debut to confirm whether the large kidney grille layout is absent.
BMW could use a slightly modified version of the 3.0-liter engine in the M3 or M4. Although the internal designation S58 suggests that the six-cylinder unit could produce more than 400 horsepower, there is no confirmation.
