New Dartz SUV gets state-of-the-art armor and anti-paparazzi lights

Under the wild exterior, a Mercedes GLS hides.

Dartz wasn’t known for being subtle. Dartz’s vehicles are known for their aggressive styling, and the latest model doesn’t differ from this theme. Dartz’s new model goes beyond luxury. It has an angular and boxy exterior that hides a Mercedes GLS beneath. If you weren’t already aware, it’s also armored.

Dartz completes a makeover of the GLS and changes its name. This is the Prombron Black Alligator MMX Black Tiger Moon Edition. The orange and black color scheme is meant to mimic the fur of a tiger, while the carbon-fiber accents are a great substitute for the creature’s stripes.

The armor was made using GBOL technology, which is the first time it has been used on a civilian vehicle. This technology allows the armored vehicle to weigh less than the stock GLS. It is quite impressive. Dartz does not detail the Prombron Black Alligator MMX powertrain other than it being a V8, however it does mention that customers will have the ability to get more horsepower from the engine.

Although the MMX does not have any visible door handles but they are there and rigged for an electric shock if someone tries to get in. Side mirrors are also absent from the armored SUV. Instead, cameras offer a rear-facing view. Dartz outfits the SUV with a floodlight as well as electrochroamatic windows, which can change from transparent to opaque. This is to keep prying eyes away. They’re bulletproof, too.

The Dartz departs from Mercedes luxury for its own style. This includes replacing some screens with analog gauges, as well as an assortment of gold accents, such as shark skin, alligator skin, and stingray skin. You’ll be happy to know that Dartz also offers biometric storage devices within the vehicle if your SUV’s armor is not enough to protect you from criminals. Dartz did not provide pricing information, but it will be expensive.
