It is expected to debut in the next year.
Even though the new-generation model was launched in 2014, the Porsche Macan is still the brand’s most popular vehicle. The 2018 redesign was the last time it was updated by Porsche. In the months ahead, the all-electric Macan will be available. The gas-powered Macan will get a new refresh. These spy photos offer a peek at the interior for first time.
Although the interior looks almost identical to the previous model, Porsche made some changes. Porsche replaced the buttons on the center console with touch sensitive ones, similar to the Cayenne. The new model’s shifter is also smaller than the old one. The overall design of the dashboard and center console remains unchanged. Porsche is expected to give the crossover a new steering column.
The Macan’s camouflage has been lost, leaving a crossover that is strikingly similar to the current design. There are some changes that will keep the design fresh. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned, but the rear fascia remains unchanged. We expect Porsche will also tweak the taillight graphics and headlights. The sheet metal scallop at the bottom of the doors has been removed from the Macan’s new model.
We don’t know much about the powertrain but we expect Porsche to keep them the same in the Macan. The base will continue to have the 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 242 horsepower (180-kilowatts), while the Macan Turbo will get the same 2.9-liter V6 which makes 434 horsepower (323 kW). This will be the last gas-powered Macan before Porsche introduces its second-generation all-electric. The refreshed Macan will likely make its debut this year. We anticipate the all-electric Macan to follow.
