Ralph Gilles, Stellantis’ design chief, owns the muscle car.

SpeedKore collaborated with Stellantis design boss Ralph Gilles to build him the tuner’s most carbon-fiber-intensive vehicle to date. Hellucination is a 1968 Dodge Charger that features a Hellephant 7.0-liter Hellephant engine producing 1000 horsepower (746 kilowatts) with an eight-speed auto gearbox.

Hellucination is SpeedKore’s first SpeedKore model to feature a carbon-fiber floor, and wheel tubs. All body panels are made of lightweight material and have a clear finish.

These Chargers have the classic look of hidden headlights. Speedkore uses LED lighting instead of the original lamps for the headlights and taillights.

This muscle car rides on HRE wheels custom-built with a multi-spoke design. They are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Hellucination rides SpeedKore’s custom perimeter frame, which gives the Charger an even wider track than its predecessor. The company also installs a double-A-arm front suspension and four-bar diagonal link setup in the rear. The coilovers are adjustable in two directions. Brembo six-piston calipers are at the front, and dual four-piston stoppers on the back. This helps to slow down this powerful muscle car.

SpeedKore also modifies Dodge’s powertrain by installing custom-made headers, and an exhaust system with MagnaFlow muffles. To maintain a clean appearance, the company places the fuel and dry-sump oiling systems in the trunk. The lines are run through the frame by SpeedKore.

There’s more carbon inside, such as the dashboard, door panels and rear quarter panels, as well the backs of seats and the dashboard. The upholstery is mostly black, with gray ribbing at the doors and chairs. The upholstery is accented with oranges.

A three-spoke steering column with orange stitching and a black cover is held by the driver. There is a large circular speedometer and tachometer. The dashboard has four smaller pods that display less important information. A stereo with 2,000 watts is available for music enjoyment.

Gilles worked for SpeedKore two years on this project. Jim Kacmarcik (President and Owner of SpeedKore) said, “This was our first time having the client directly involved in the vehicle’s design process and it was a lot fun to help Ralph’s dream build come true.”
