Engineers installed a new steering system, a retuned suspension with higher spring/damping rates and a larger rear swing bar to improve ride quality.

The Patriot 4×4 2011 boasts an increase in ground clearance (1 inch), Hill-Descent Control, 4×4 lock, and a low range mode that “generates the best-in-class 19 to1 crawl ratio.”
