Our spy team was able to capture the Mercedes SLK63 AMG 2012 in testing at the Nurburgring.
The new SLK63 will have an SLS-inspired grille and front fender vents. It also has LED-infused headlights. The AMG version will have aggressive bumpers and revised side skirts. It also has a four-tailpipe exhaust system, AMG wheels, and a high-performance braking system.
It is not yet clear what engine will power this new convertible. There are currently three options: the rumored to produce 422 horsepower (315 kW/ 428 PS), the 5.5-liter V8 and the 451 horsepower (336 kW/ 457 PS), 6.2-liter V8 and a tuned 5.5-liter twin turbo V8 that produces 537 HP (400 kW/ 544 PS) as well as 800 Nm (590lb-ft).
