As an affordable SUV, the new EcoSport will be placed below the larger Kuga. The EcoSport will use Fiesta’s platform. It will be available with the EcoBoost engine, which produces 125 HP (92kW), and a 1.5-liter gasoline motor with 110 HP (81kW). A 1.5-liter diesel engine with 90 HP (66kW) is also available.
It was revealed at the MWC this year because it is loaded with technology such as Ford SYNC voice activated in-car connectivity system and SYNC emergency assistance.
It will also be displayed next week at Geneva Motor Show 2013.
