2013 Jaguar XE mule spied again

Jaguar XE mule spotted sporting two different exhaust systems during the American desert.

These are the most recent spy photos of a Jaguar XE mule performing hot-weather testing in Death Valley (USA).

The new, centrally mounted twin exhaust on this test mule is noticeable. It is not apparent in the double pipes at the ends of the rear fascia – which is the hallmark of the current XK setup upon which this mule is based. Here, the EX mule is riding on a shorter XK body and chassis.

In the one photo of the cabin, we also see some interior changes.

The 2013 XE is a two-seater that will be sold as a coupe or cabriolet. It will compete with the Porsche Cayman, 911 and other 911 models.

We anticipate a V6 in at most two configurations, supercharged and naturally-aspirated.

We will be sharing more details later in the year.
