It has been on the market for just two years, and Mercedes has already revealed a significantly improved SLS AMG GT model year 2013. It is faster, although it is slightly more expensive.
AMG chairman Olakallenius spoke to Autoblog.com and stated that the new SLS AMG GT hardtop version of the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit can complete the sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and takes 7:35 and respectively 3.6 seconds to do so.
The upgrade will result in a significant price increase. The SLS AMG GT in the U.S. has a price increase of approximately $5,000 to $195,000 per coupe, and more than $200,000 for its roadster counterpart.
Mid-November 2012, the improved SLS AMG GT GT will be available in the United States.
