The Symbol is essentially a rebadged Dacia Logan. It features conservative styling, a prominent grille and distinctive taillights.
Although interior photos were not made public, cabins can come with cruise control, USB/Bluetooth connectivity, and a 60/40-split rear bench seat. You can also order higher end models with a Renault Media Nav infotainment systems that have a seven-inch touchscreen display.
There are three engine options: a TCe 90 (dCi 75), dCi 90 (dCi 90). The specifications of the 0.9-liter three cylinder petrol are not known but it is expected to produce 90 HP (66kW) and 135Nm (100lb-ft). The 1.5 dCi diesel should produce 75 HP (55kW) and 200Nm (147lb-ft), as well as 90HP (66kW) and 220Nm (162lb-ft), respectively.
The Renault Symbol will go on sale in Algeria, Tunisia and Turkey in the first quarter of next year.
