The top of a lightly disguised BMW 4-Series Convertible was spotted ahead of the unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany next week.
To make way for the larger, lighter 4-Series Convertible, which will have different headlights and a sportier front fascia as well as ventilated frontfenders and headlights, the 3-Series Convertible will be discontinued. The design is a resemblance to the 4-Series Coupe, with the only difference being the retractable roof.
BMW will be taking the engine lineup of the 3-Series Convertible. Expect to see a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo motor with 245 HP (182 kW) & 350 Nm (258 Lb-ft), and a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo that delivers 306 HP (295 kW) & 400 Nm (295 Lb-ft) respectively.
The car will be unveiled at the IAA next week. Production of the 428i/ 435i models will begin in Regensburg in November, according to reports.
