Holden has unveiled the 2014 Caprice. It has a new interior design and standard equipment.
Holden has been given the 2014 Caprice.
The updated model looks instantly recognisable thanks to additional chrome trim and restyled alloy wheels of 18- and 19 inches.
The exterior remains virtually unchanged, but the interior has been completely redesigned using higher quality materials and a better layout. Leather seats, push-button ignition, and a MyLink infotainment program with GPS navigation are some of the highlights. The Caprice V is a higher-end model that features a sport steering wheel and a nine-speaker Bose sound system. It also has a rear entertainment system with dual-channel wireless headphones.
The Caprice also offers Auto Park Assist and Reverse Traffic Alert, as well as Blind Spot Alert. You will also find parking sensors, a rear camera, Hill Start Assist, and Trailer Sway Controller.
Two engines are under the hood. The Caprice V’s entry-level model features a 3.6-liter V6 engine, while the Caprice V uses a 6.0 liter V8. Although performance specifications have not been released, the 3.6-liter V6 should produce 285 HP (258 kW) or 350 Nm (258lb-ft). The 6.0-liter engine should produce 353 HP (361 kW) or 517 Nm (381lb-ft). No matter which engine you choose, they both can be connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 2014 Caprice will be available later in the year. Prices start at $54,490
