We have spotted the new Peugeot 308 GTi in testing ahead of its expected launch in 2014.
Peugeot will show a prototype of the range-topping R version for the new 308 at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The 308 R produces 274 HP (201kW), while the 308 has 155HP (114kW). The 308 GTi is expected to be in the middle of the two, and will produce around 200 HP (147kW), most likely from a 1.6-liter turbohydraulic mill.
Peugeot has not made any major changes to the GTi’s exterior. The only modifications we see are a lowered suspension and new fog lights. We expect more changes, including revised bumpers, larger alloys, and interior cabin updates.
