The redesigned model looks much more sophisticated than its predecessor. It features a familiar dual cockpit layout, but is well-equipped with high-quality materials and better attention for detail. Although the model shown is a premium variant, we can still see chrome accents, saddle brown leather upholstery and piano black trim. The model also features a leather-wrapped, three-spoke steering column and ambient lighting in ice blue. It also has a MyLink II infotainment platform with an 8-inch display. The “butterfly-shaped central console” promises “intuitive, user friendly operation with clear functions at the glance”.
We have reported previously that the Chinese-spec Cruze will come with a turbocharged, 1.4-liter engine as well as a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated unit. They can be linked to a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automated manual, and an all new seven-speed DCG dual clutch gearbox.
