The Mustang’s popular shade is now available in the hot hatch.
The Focus RS has been the hot hatch of the Blue Oval, but the Focus ST continues to be a strong performer. Buyers in the United States now have the option to get it with an additional splash of color. Triple Yellow Metallic Tri-Coat is a new color in the range that’s one of the most striking. According to Ford spokesperson Dan Jones, it replaces the Tangerine Scream Metallic Tri-Coat. This hue is available at an additional $595. It is the only tint that comes with a premium.
Focus ST still uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder with 252 horsepower & 270 pound-feet torque. The only option for a six-speed manual gearbox is the Focus ST.
The 2017 Focus ST is priced at $25,650 after $875 destination. Ford’s configurator indicates that there are $1750 worth of incentives available, meaning buyers could get the hot hatch as low as $23,900. Ford offers the hot hatch in other colors, including Kona Blue, Race Red and Magnetic Gray, Oxford White, Shadow Black, and Oxford White.
The ST can be specced with luxury features that make it a hot hatch. A package that includes HID headlights and a power moonroof as well as partially trimmed leather seats, a 10-speaker stereo system, Sync 3 and dual-zone climate control costs $3,680. The $5,680 pack includes all that equipment including an 8-way power driver’s chair, heated steering wheel and navigation. These amenities can also be purchased separately.
Ford Performance and Mountune work together to allow owners to get more out of their 2017 Focus ST in Triple Yellow. provides aftermarket parts to increase the engine’s output to 275 horsepower, and 296 lb.ft. You can also get new exhaust kits, and the option to retrofit the Focus RS’ Brembo front braking system onto the ST.
