It boasts one of its largest trunks.
Hyundai has unveiled the third-generation i30 Wagon. It is set to be one of the most practical models in the class due to its large trunk. The compact estate, which was designed in Germany and manufactured in Czech Republic, can hold 602 liters of luggage. If you require more cargo carrying capacity, the rear seats can be folded down to increase the cargo volume to 1,650 liters. The model it replaces can hold 528 and 1,642 Liters, respectively. The new Kia cee’d SW, which is expected to arrive in 2018, will likely offer almost the same number.
It has the same I30 hatchback, despite the larger trunk. It has a 2,650-mm wheelbase, and a width of 1,795 mm.
The wagon will be powered by the same engine lineup as the 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline unit. It produces 120 horsepower (89 kW), and the turbocharged three-cylinder 1.0 liter gasoline unit. You can upgrade to the four-cylinder 1.4 liter for 140 hp (138kW). The 1.6-liter CRDi will be available with 95, 110 and 136 horsepower for those who prefer a diesel.
The 2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon will come with either a 6-speed manual gearbox, or a 7-speed dual-clutch auto, depending on the engine. These two transmissions will send the engine’s power only to the front wheels, it is obvious. Only the N hot-hat is likely to get all-wheel drive, but that decision is still being made.
The five-door hatchback has a wide range of safety and equipment features, including Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASC) and Autonomous emergency brakes (AEB). Customers can fit the compact family hauler with a Blind Spot, Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist.
There are many optional accessories that can be added to the system, including full-LED headlights and wireless charging.
The third-gen Hyundai I30 Wagon has been tested on the Nurburgring. It will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and go on sale soon thereafter. The i30 range will expand with the introduction of the i30N in the second half 2017. In early 2018, a fastback body style is expected to be added to the lineup.
