The C-Class is still the brand’s best-selling model.
It’s the time of year when auto manufacturers announce their annual results. Mercedes-Benz is the first to do so. In 2017, Mercedes delivered a total 2,289 344 vehicles to customers. This represents a 9.9-percent increase on 2016.
Europe is still the largest market for marquees, with over 955,000 sales. This represents an increase of 6.4%. 2017 saw more than 300,000. In Germany, the three-pointed stars were used in over 300,000 vehicles. The manufacturer claims that it is the market leader in many markets, including Great Britain, France and Turkey, Switzerland, Poland. Portugal, Denmark, Czech Republic, Denmark and other.
Mercedes had its best December in history. It also saw the quarter that was the most successful for the company’s sales. With more than 415,000 units sold last yea, the C-Class sedan and wagon versions remains the marque’s bestseller. With a 40 percent increase in deliveries last year, the E-Class was also a strong seller. The model’s sales in China more than doubled.
We are awaiting the annual reports of BMW and Audi as well as other luxury brands around world to confirm this last sentence. Mercedes adds to this statement that it is the only German brand in the premium segment to experience “as strong growth.” Let’s wait until we get the annual reports from BMW and Audi.
