2018 Dacia Duster: Check Out The Side-By-Side Changes

The Dacia Duster 2018 is the latest Dacia Duster.

The Dacia Duster has been a big cash cow for Renault and is now ready to transition to a new generation. The new version of Romania’s inexpensive SUV is subtler than the one it replaces. However, discerning eyes will see that there are many small design changes made to the body. It still looks terrible.

The headlights with LED daytime running lamps have a new shape at the front. They are much wider than they were before. They are flanked by a new Dacia corporate grille that combines cues from the older grille with those of the stepway models. The hood has also been modified, with an additional pair of creases to the sides.

A large skid plate in satin chrome gives the Duster an extra rugged look. It is made of a plastic that is resistant to scratches. The square fog lights are designed to replace the round clusters.

Side profile also has undergone a number of changes. The first was the larger mirror caps and a higher beltline. The funky 17-inch alloy wheels have a two-tone design. There is also a black trim piece on the front fenders that bears the “4WD”, giving off a 90s vibe. The door handles would be our top choice if someone asked us what they would change. They aren’t the same as those used by Duster, but they aren’t new. These look almost identical to Logan’s.

The windscreen with a steeper rake has been moved forward by 100 millimeters (almost 4 inches). Dacia also made changes to the side windows. To complete the side profile changes, aluminum roof rails are used.

At the Duster’s back, the first thing you will notice is the clever design of the square taillights. They look almost like they were inspired by the Jeep Renegade. The four squares stacked at the rear of the clusters are an interesting touch that continues the Logan model facelift theme. The SUV’s off-road appearance is further enhanced by a skid plate that looks similar to the one at the front.

Although no images of the cabin are available, Dacia promised it would have a “completely renovated, quality-feel interior” and new equipment. A sketch of the four-in-1 sketch was shown above. However, it is not clear if this will be the final design. We know from history that sketches are rarely as accurate as the real thing. So we don’t expect much surprise if the final layout is significantly different. The Duster’s spartan interior will be gone if this is the final production-ready configuration.
