The 2018 GMC Terrain continues to be developed. Spy photographers captured new photos of this redesigned crossover.The 2018 Terrain will be sold alongside the Chevrolet Equinox. It will adopt the Acadia’s styling and have a sleeker exterior. Although camouflage conceals many details, we can see that the crossover will feature a prominent grille and a gently sloped roof. There will also be a spoiler mounted to the tailgate.General Motors has not yet revealed much about the next-generation Terrain, but it will ride on the D2XX platform which underpins the Cruce. Although reports suggest that the crossover will be smaller than its predecessor, nothing has been confirmed.
Although there are no details on the engine options, rumors suggest that the Terrain will either be powered by a turbocharged 1.5 liter four-cylinder producing 160 horsepower and 184 pounds-feet torque or a naturally-aspirated four-cylinder of 2.5 liters which produces 197 hp. It will likely be connected with a six speed automatic transmission, which can be paired with an optional all-wheel drive system.The 2018 GMC Terrain will be presented at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and the 2016 North American International Auto Show. The sales will begin in 2017 and the pricing will likely be in the low- to mid-$20,000 area.
