Roush will only build 200 examples.
The 2018 Roush JackHammer Mustang order forms are now available. The name may be interesting but the engine is very powerful. Roush aftermarket tuning company, which has been revving up Ford Mustang convertibles and coupes for over two decades, named its limited-edition pony car after Jack Roush.
Roush offers a variety of goodies for the Mustang. The Roush R2650 supercharger increases the engine’s power from 460 horsepower to 420 pound-feet. It can also increase the output of the 5.0-liter V8 up to 710 HP and 610 lb.ft. Customers have the option of either the 6-speed manual or 10-speed auto; however, this package is only available for the Mustang GT coupe. Roush has added a coilover suspension to the Mustang. The only Roush Mustang with such wheels is the Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires wrapped around gloss-black wheels.
Jack Roush Jr., professional racecar driver and advanced business strategist at Roush Performance, said that the JackHammer is a great choice for enthusiasts looking for a thrilling driving experience in Mustangs with incredible power and looks. The unique thing about this model is that we have installed all components and machined the front engine cover before it leaves our headquarters to allow us to add our R2650 supercharger kit.”
Roush makes several visual changes to the Mustang’s exterior, in addition to performance improvements. The upgrades include a new lower grille, chin spoiler and inserts under turn signals. Roush also adds slats and vents to the grille vents. A scoop is added on the rear side windows and the hockey stick tripe down the side.
Roush offers a five-year/60,000-warranty on the vehicle, which includes the dealer-installed supercharger system. Roush allows you to customize your Roush JackHammer Mustang online. Packages start at $14,795, plus the base price. Roush will only make 200 copies of this vehicle.
