With that money, you could buy another vehicle.
The trucks today can fulfill a variety of functions for consumers. Some people need the truck’s ability to tow and haul, while others desire a truck that offers luxury ownership with premium leathers and the latest technology. It’s not surprising that customers can afford expensive trucks with luxury-car features. The latest example of how easy it can be to add accessories to a truck’s value is the 2019 Chevy silverado, which boasts nearly $32,000 in upgrades.
More Chevy Trucks with Tricks
The Chevy truck was originally priced at $50,295 LTZ. But how did it end up at $82,096? $2,495 was added to the price of the 6.2-liter V8 engine under the hood. The Z71 Package adds Rancho shocks, skid plates and a $550 spray-in bed liner. Silverado also received the LTZ Premium Package, which included navigation, power up/down liftgate and much more.
Aftermarket upgrades can really drive up the price – almost $21,000 worth of goodies. This includes a 6-inch lift and BF Goodrich all terrain tires, Black Widow rims, tinted windows, and Black Widow rims. It’s not a wrap, it’s just painted in two-tone. The wheel-to-wheel running boards and black exhaust tips are just a few of the upgrades that you can get.
Are all these upgrades really necessary? No. It would be difficult for most people to justify a $50,000 truck. However, that’s not all. The aftermarket market for trucks allows owners to personalize their vehicles in whatever way they like. That’s quite cool.
