Although it can’t fly yet, the comic-themed Kona is well-equipped.
Automakers from all over the globe are exhibiting at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Hyundai used the opportunity to announce the pricing of its Marvel-themed Kona Iron Man Edition. The front of the HyundaiKona might look a little like Iron Man’s faceplate. However, if the paint scheme is right, it’s possible to see the similarities. It will cost you if you plan to ride in one. The Iron Man Edition’s pricing starts at $30,550 front-wheel-drive models and $31,950 all-wheel drive variants.
The Iron Man model offers the 175-horsepower (130 kilowatts) 1.6-liter turbocharged four cylinder and the seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. The options are the same as the Ultimate model’s, but the Iron Man Edition has more than just special paint and badges. The model’s front fascia features special LED accent lighting that better resembles the iconic superhero faceplate. The Iron Man edition also has 18-inch alloy wheels.
The custom gray/red color scheme with fender badges is what makes this car stand out from the rest. The roof features an Iron Man decal, which is large, as well as a V-shaped hood design. There are also smaller details like the Iron Man center caps on wheels and the Iron Man branding on rear liftgate. Although it’s not subtle, Tony Stark would be proud.
The interior features a welcome animation for the heads up display and an Iron Man screen on the infotainment screen. The cabin features a contrast red trim, a unique shift knob, and seat backs with Iron Man branding. Tony Stark’s “signature”, which is found on the dash, can also be seen. The seat designs can be customized to fit the particular model. Although the Iron Man Edition isn’t cheap it is a very cool, compact crossover. Hyundai has announced that the first Iron Man Edition models have arrived at dealerships.
