Although not quite as hot as the Focus ST or Golf GTI, it is still a great option.

The new Kia Ceed GT was designed, developed and built in Europe by Europeans for Europe. It is for those who need more power than the regular hatchback with the turbocharged, 1.4-liter engine. The new five-door sporty model is powered by a 1.6-liter engine with forced induction. It produces 201 horsepower and 265 Newton meters (195 pound-feet), of torque.
It’s not a rival to beefier models like the Ford Focus ST or VW Golf GTI, but it does have a lot of power. The Ceed GT is a hot hatch that’s more affordable than the established models and is geared toward customers who want extra muscle but don’t have to spend the same premium as the bigger players.

The previous-generation cee’d GT had a six-speed manual transmission. Kia will now sell the new model with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. For manual shifting, opt for the DCT. It will come with new-developed metal alloy shift paddles that are located behind the wheel. You can also let the car perform the “quick-fire” gear shifts automatically.
The automatic gearbox also offers the option to select between sport and normal modes. The first puts emphasis on efficiency and comfort, while the latter improves throttle response and throttle response to allow for the fastest acceleration. Unfortunately, Kia did not disclose any performance details.
The Ceed version has more stopping power than the Ceed . Therefore, engineers replaced the 288-mm front brake disks with a larger, 320-mm set. The discs are also thicker to increase heat absorption and improve braking performance when used repeatedly. The brakes are hidden behind standard Michelin Pilot Sport 4 245/40 R18 tires wrapped on 18-inch wheels. Kia says they have improved the steering rack by 17 percent over the old GT.
The new Ceed GT will be made available to the public at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. It will go into production in Slovakia at Kia’s Zilina plant in November. The sales of the Ceed GT are expected to begin in the first quarter next year.
