The year is coming to an abrupt halt, which means only one thing: A new batch of Lego Speed Champions sets will be available for 2019. The new additions to this popular brick-building series should excite car and Lego lovers. The new 2019 lineup will have your heart pumping high, whether it’s classic or new, import or domestic. Let’s take an in-depth look at the new vehicles that will be available in the near future.
McLaren Senna
McLaren has teamed up with Lego to produce Lego sets of supercars built by the British car maker. A more accessible version is planned for 2019, following the release of the Senna. The real one is close to one million dollars more expensive so it will be easier on your wallet.
Ferrari F40 Competizione
Lego will finally unveil the F40 Competizione. This is the iconic Ferrari. This particular model is extremely rare, as only 10 were ever produced in real life. Ferrari claimed that the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 produces 691 horsepower and can reach speeds of almost 230 mph. If you love the F40, this is the set to get. The set includes extra parts that can be used to convert the Competizione back into a road-going model.
2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, 1970 Dodge Charger R/T
With the release of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, Lego will offer muscle car enthusiasts some love. Each machine will be equipped with drag lights for the Christmas tree. This way, you can compete with a friend on the quarter-mile. This is a classic battle between old and new schools.
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Race Car
The brick-building mix also includes a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 race car. The set includes a racing driver figure, an adjustable roll cage, and a removable windshield.
1967 Mini Cooper S Rally & 2018 MINI John Cooper Works Buggy
Last but not least, the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally and 2018 MINI John Cooper Works Buggy set comes with everything you need to stage the ultimate classic-versus-modern Mini rally race. Just like the original, the ’67 Cooper comes equipped with a roof rack as well as two spare tires. The 2018 Cooper Works Buggy comes with a working suspension.
