The F Sport version is for those who want tighter grip.
Auto engineering is often focused on the complexity of the engine or, more recently the latest tech in the infotainment and driver-assistance systems. But Lexus shines a spotlight on an important, but often overlooked aspect of building a new car: making comfortable seats. It took three years for Lexus to create the comfortable seats for the new LexusES.
“Your posture will feel just right the moment you sit down in the new ES,” Takeshi Kawano, Lexus ES lead engineer said. Takeshi Kawano, Lexus ES lead engineer, said that there’s no need for you to fumble around until you find the perfect position. Once you are seated, your lower back will be fully supported. You will feel relaxed and your posture will not change, regardless of the G-forces coming from any direction.
For greater comfort, the ES’s seats feature an iron frame and polyurethane foam wrapped around. The cushion’s bottom has subtle depressions that allow people with smaller frames to sink into the cushion while still supporting larger individuals.
The ES F Sport seat can be chosen by customers who want a more secure hold when driving. These chairs are a direct copy of the LC coupe. The standard parts have more side bolstering and support for the hips than the upholstered versions.
This is Lexus’ company line Motor1.com . The First Drive of 2019 Lexus ES 350 generally backs the company’s claims about the seats. The standard ES 350 has ample padding. F-Sport trim adds a little more padding, but it doesn’t feel necessary. There is plenty of adjustment, including plenty of pitch at front of the bottom cushion as well as a thigh extension for those who require extra leg support.
The cabin of the 2019 ES is a vast improvement on the previous generation, particularly in terms material. Our First Drive reveals that the trackpad controls and polarizing infotainment system are still present, but they are “bad as ever.”
In September 2019, the 2019 ES arrived at Lexus dealers. The ES350 starts at $39,500 plus $1,025 destination. F Sport versions are available for $44,035. The 350h hybrid is also available for $41,310
