Although the Porsche badge is hidden on the hood, the automaker is not fooling anyone.
The best thing about the latest spy shots of the refreshed Porsche Cayman GT4, is what we don’t see. We can see almost everything. As you would expect from Porsche, the changes are minimal. The side air scoops have been slightly revised, and the lower fascia looks a bit more aggressive than the GT4. With a relocated exhaust outlets and a modified diffuser, the rear fascia looks even more aggressive. The taillights look different and the wings seem larger than ever before.
It’s still got a tiny bit of camouflage, but it’s absolutely hilarious. If you look closely at the front, you will see the tiny bit of black wrap which is located exactly where one would find the Porsche crest. It’s obvious that someone at Stuttgart has seen a lot Superman. This Clark Kent attempt to disguise the car, especially since it still shows Porsche at the back, is hilarious.
It’s funny, but that’s not what this is about. We’re talking here about the parts we can’t see. This is the secret weapon that will make the refreshed GT4 a true superhero. According to our sources, the car will feature a tuned version of the 4.0-liter flat-6 from the 911GT3. The same sources confirm that the GT4 will be offered either a PDK or manual transmission. With at least 400 horsepower, it should be a joy to drive.
The striptease appears almost complete, with the exception of the stubborn tape at the front. We will soon get all the official information. The Clubsport version will be the first to debut in 2019, so we expect the road version to follow soon.
