2019 Porsche Macan Starts Under $50K, Arrives Summer 2019

The updated SUV is available in America with 248 horsepower and 273 pounds-feet. In just 6.1 seconds, it can reach 60 mph.

The refreshed Macan way was unveiled in July. Now, Americans will finally have the opportunity to see the updated Porsche SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The revised Macan will not be available in the United States until summer 2019, so buyers will need to wait longer before they can get one. The price will be $49,900 plus $1,050 delivery, compared to the $47,800 base model.

The American Macan will produce 248 horsepower (185 Kilowatts) as well as 273 pound-feet (3370 Newton-meters), instead of 242 HP (180 kW) or 273 Lb-ft (397 Nm) in the European version. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is the only option. Porsche claims that the North American Macan can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 6.3 seconds, or 6.1 seconds when using launch control from Sport Chrono. It can reach speeds of up to 142 mph (229 km/h). The foreign version takes 6.7 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), and the top speed is 140 mph (229 kph).

The updated Macan is the same in America and Europe. Revisions have included a tweaked taillight and headlight design that spans the entire rear. New paint options include Mamba Green Metallic (Dolomite Silver Metallic), Miami Blue (Chalk) and Chalk.

The interior features a 10.9-inch infotainment display that replaces the 7-inch LCD. It also uses the most recent version of Porsche Communication Management. Standard features include navigation. Buyers who prefer the GT Sport steering wheel can opt for it. The optional adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist allows the crossover to accelerate, brake and maintain a lane at speeds up to 40 mph (64 km/h).
