Wood bed rails are not available, but you can pay more to get a cool canopy.

Imagine it. It’s 1977 and American motorists are now experiencing the full force to new emission regulations. This has had a significant impact on horsepower. Dodge offers some of the most popular appearance packages for any vehicle with four wheels. The coolest of them all was the Warlock, a single-cab pickup that’s adorned in pinstripe and attached with a flared pickup bed. The Warlock sat higher and came with cool wheels. It also featured wooden bed rails that gave it a unique look.

The Warlock is back. The Warlock is back, at least in name. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is built on the old half-ton Ram chassis. It sports a modest appearance package, just like the original truck 40 years ago. The new version doesn’t have the same cool features as the original Warlock, such as the wood bed rails and pinstriping. The new Warlock is also larger, with only two options: a quad cab or a full-on four-door crew-cab model. The new Warlock has its own tricks, however.

The factory-custom truck comes with a unique sport grille. You can also get a cool sport-hood as an option. The Warlock comes standard with powder-coated bumpers and a 1-inch factory lift. The aggressive R-A–M grille is featured on the truck, while 20-inch wheels are given semi-gloss black paint to give it a darker appearance. The entire truck gets a monochromatic overhaul that virtually eliminates any traces of chrome.

You can customize your Ram

Ram also offers the Warlock package available in 10 colors if gray is not your style. Ram’s powertrain options include the standard Ram 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi-V8. The Warlock can be ordered in either a two-wheel-drive or a four-wheel drive configuration, and power is transmitted through an eight speed automatic.

Reid Bigland (FCA’s head for Ram) stated that the Ram 1500 Classic Warlock was a strong example of value never going out of fashion. This mean machine will resonate positively with consumers thanks to its sinister monochromatic exterior and award-winning interior.

The Warlock will go on sale in the second quarter of 2014 with a starting cost of $37,040 plus destination.
