The 2019 Toyota Avalon looks polarizing, but it’s a well-built machine. The new sedan was on display at our California location this week. We also got to see it in action and learned how much the full-size model will set you back when it goes on the market next month. The base XLE trim is available for $35,500. Prices do not include $895 processing and shipping.

The XLE Hybrid will cost you $36,500. The XLE Hybrid has all the same features, including LED headlights and taillights and SofTex faux leather seating. However, it replaces the V6 with a 2.5-liter four cylinder hybrid powertrain that produces 215 horsepower (160 kilowatts), 163 pound-feet (220 Newton meters) of torque and returns 43 mpg city, 44 highway and 44 combined.2019 Toyota Avalon Starting At $35,500. The XSE trim is a step up from the base XLE. It has 19-inch wheels, powe adjust seats, and new piano black detailing inside and out. The XSE Hybrid starts at $39,000, and the V6-powered XSE is available for $38,000.

The Avalon Limited trim level is the first to cross the $40,000 threshold. However, it also comes with many more features. The Avalon Limited is priced at $41,800 for a V6 model and $42,800 hybrid. It also includes leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated power seat, a 10-inch color head up display and genuine wood trim in the interior. The hybrid model has the same features, with the exception of the 18-inch wheels.

This price includes the V6-powered model, as Toyota does not offer a Hybrid Touring trim. It’s the most equipped Avalon at this price. The new Adaptive Variable Suspension is featured in this trim. It also includes Sport and Sport+ driving modes. It uses the same 3.5-liter V6 that is found in the entire range. It produces the same 301 horsepower (224 kW), 267 pound-feet (362Nm) and returns up to 21 MPG city, 31 highway and 25 combined.
