What will it look like?

Although the teaser image here isn’t very detailed, it does give us some idea of what the new RAV4 will look like if we believe reports.

It will be larger for one. We have seen a taller front end and a distinctive grille. The headlights wrap around the nose. Spy photos It will also be stronger. The update will include a new fascia and rugged fenders.

Although it’s not clear what type of cabin makeover Toyota will do, expect more tech. Toyota finally committed to Apple CarPlay and better materials.

What is the cost?

You can buy the current RAV4 for as low as $24,410 but depending on your options and trim it may cost as much as $34,750. The Platinum model, which is fully loaded, is the most expensive in the range. Toyota is not providing any pricing information on the new model. However, a slight increase in the price range is expected.

Which platform will it use?

The Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) will replace the current MC platform in the new RAV4. The modular underpinnings were introduced in 2015 with the Prius. They are used currently by the Camry as well as crossovers such as the C-HR, and the new Lexus UX. The same platform will eventually make its way into the new Corolla in the latter part of the year. Although the TNGA can accommodate rear-, front- and all wheel-drive, we expect that the RAV4 will only offer all-wheel drive options.

What’s under the Hood?

RAV4’s new TNGA platform, which is flexible, will allow it to accept a variety of engine options. The hybrid powertrain is more efficient and will be carried over. The outgoing model was able to return 34 mpg city and 30 highway miles per gallon. A four-cylinder engine is expected to remain the standard unit. The RAV4’s 2.5-liter inline-4 engine produces 176 horsepower (131 Kilowatts) as well as 172 pound-feet (223 Newton-meters). So expect a slight power boost on the new model.

When will it be revealed?

The new Toyota RAV4 will be making its debut worldwide in just a few short weeks. Although the official release date for the new Toyota RAV4 is March 28th at the New York Auto Show it will not go on sale until at most early 2019

The RAV4 is a small crossover that has been around for almost 25 years. In 2017, the current model sold 407,594 units, a significant increase of 15.7 per cent over the 352,154 deliveries in 2017. That made it the most popular Toyota product in America last year. In just a few short weeks, Toyota will unveil a brand new version.

It is expected that the RAV4 will undergo a complete overhaul. This includes a more luxurious interior and rugged exterior. There may also be new engine options.
