Audi’s original SUV has undergone major changes during its mid-cycle refresh.
We usually need one of the company’s design team to point out any updates to an Audi facelift. It’s difficult to spot all the changes on our own. However, we have been seeing Ingolstadt take a new approach lately. The refresh of the A4 lineup was surprisingly thorough, and the one for the Q7 was also significant.
Audi claims that the new singleframe grille for the large and powerful SUV has been “taken to the next stage”. It is shaped like an Octagon with six upright slats. This gives it a unique look. However, we are sure not everyone will love it. These videos allow us to see the 2020 Q7’s new front bumper, which has different side air inlets. We also get to see the stylish headlights with optional matrix LED lasers.
Audi has added a chrome strip to the back of the Q7 to create the illusion that the Q7 is larger than it actually is. The new graphics for the LED taillights match what we have seen on other models with the Four Rings. This vehicle is also featured in these videos, photos and has the S Line package to spice it up.
The high-tech setup of two touchscreens in the center console, which was originally part of the Q8 flagship SUV, has seen massive changes. The tablet-styled MMI screen is no more. We hope it will be removed from any new Audis.
The Q7’s facelift was quite unusual. It now measures 5063mm (199.3inches), which is quite impressive considering its previous size. The luxury three-row SUV is equipped with the latest digital instrument cluster from Audi Virtual Cockpit, which works in conjunction with an updated infotainment system. A head-up display, as well as a variety of safety systems, can be added to the high-end Audi models.
The Audi Q7 facelift is expected to be launched in Europe in mid September. It will likely be followed by the hot diesel-powered HTML7, which has basically the same technical specs as the recently launched SQ8.
