The digital instrument cluster is a little more sporty.

The BMW 3 Series is our first look inside. The hot sports sedan is very similar to the 3Series, which was unveiled in October 2018. We are confident that the M model will have the larger digital screens for the instrumentation and infotainment system.

However, this doesn’t mean all instruments will be the same. This instrument cluster’s formatting is more sporty, with the rev counter at the center of the design. Due to both the M8’s high-performance nature, the same unit will be featured on the big M8. We are not yet privy to any additional features that the M3 might offer in its infotainment system, but we do know that they could be more advanced than the standard 3 Series.

We know that the car will be able to produce 473 horsepower (353 kilowatts) via its boosted six-cylinder engine. It will also drive all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive system and a paddle shift gearbox. The M3 will receive a rear-wheel drive mode, borrowed from the HTML5. However, the automaker won’t abandon its original sports sedan formula. An earlier rear-wheel-drive-only “Pure” model, which uses a six-speed manual transmission and BMW’s xDrive system, was mentioned . We reported earlier that BMW had confirmed the arrival of a rear-wheel drive model, possibly even a CSL version. The M3 Competition with a higher power output will produce 503 horsepower (375 kW), but it will only use the AWD layout with an automatic. These spy shots clearly show the absence of the manual setup.

The new M3 will soon be revealed. The Frankfurt Motor Show will host a reveal in September. However, it is possible that the car may be available to media outlets just a few days before.
