2020 Chevy Corvette C8 Dies Within One Day of Delivery

Driving while under the influence of alcohol is not allowed.

We know that sports car purchases can be emotionally charged, but this 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 owner will feel even more. Junebug was fortunate to take delivery of his new Corvette mid-engine Corvette on April 2, 2020 in Bradenton. According to the owner, it’s a Sebring orange ‘Vette with Z51 performance package, but only survived 26 hours.

The Corvette’s owner was involved in an accident at Sarasota 41 on April 3, 2020. According to accident accounts, the car was hit by a black object. Hyundai The Chevy t-boned the Hyundai when the Accent sedan suddenly appeared in front the ‘Vette. According to police, the driver of the Hyundai was under the influence of alcohol. The driver also had no insurance.

The accident did not result in any death. Five stitches were required for the five-inch cuts and bruises sustained by Corvette’s owner. The passenger also suffered broken fingers. As of writing, the driver of the Hyundai remains in hospital.

The images show that the Chevy appears to have been completely destroyed. The impact was so strong that the black sedan was thrown to the side and the 1,000-pound-heavy ‘Vette suffered heavy damage to its bumper.

It could take a while for the 2020 Corvette to be replaced, due to Chevy dealerships being closed as a result of the coronavirus crise and GM’s production being halted temporarily.

This should serve as a reminder to you that driving under the influence is illegal. Alcohol-impaired driving crashes were responsible for 28 percent of all traffic-related deaths in America in 2016.
