2020 Chevy Corvette Gets Zora Graphic on Windshield

We have learned a lot about Corvette owner over the years that they are obsessed with small details. There’s now a new detail that 2020 Corvette owners should be excited about. Or, 2020 Corvette owners who get their cars late in production might be excited. Some early C8 buyers may be jealous.

If you look closely at late-run 2020 Corvettes, you will see a man’s head in the lower passenger corner. Team Corvette is visible in the driver’s side corner. Kerbeck Chevrolet, New Jersey made this discovery on a newly delivered C8. Kerbeck Chevrolet is the largest Corvette dealer worldwide, so they regularly see new ‘Vettes. This Easter egg was on the highest-VIN model that they have seen.

We were interested in this addition so we contacted General Motors. It was recently added to the C8 and will be on all Corvettes moving forward, according to a spokesperson.

The small head is Zora Arkus Duntov’s. He is widely regarded as the father of Corvette. He injected performance into the C1 & C2 models and he also conceived the idea for a midengine version of this sports car. It would take more than a half century before the first mid-engine version of the sports car was built. His vision was finally realized In a production model Chevrolet Zora is keen to credit credit where credit is due. We were able to see Zora’s likeness. The bigger question is: How will Corvette owners react to early C8s without a Zora-branded windshield on them? While we suspect that there will be many owners who want the windshield, knowing that it will be available on all Corvettes going forward will give the early-production cars a nice bump in collectivity, similar to the split-window Corvette C2 from 1963. Only time will tell.
