X-Tomi Design has given the N Sonata a modified lower fascia. It features a larger intake in the corners and a red-accented splitter. The larger wheels have five sets of dual spokes and the open design makes it easier to see the red brake levers.

Hyundai has confirmed that a N Line variant with more than 275 horsepower (205kW) is in the works. This would be a significant improvement on the current offerings of a turbo-2.5-liter with 191hp (142kW) and a turbo 1.6-liter with 180hp (134kW). In 2020, a hybrid powertrain will be added to the lineup.

The exterior design of the new Sonata has been completely redesigned, giving it a coupe-like appearance. The interior features a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen and a 10.25 inch infotainment display. The console’s push-button gear selection has a striking design.

In September, the 2020 Sonata will be produced at Hyundai’s Alabama factory. They should be available to American dealers by October. The pricing for the four-door is still unknown.
