A Defender Defender with darker styling is available.
Kahn and Chelsea Truck Company are well-known names in Land Rover Defender tuning. The company now turns its attention to the next generation off-roader with Land Rover Defender 110 Chelsea Truck Launch Edition.
The tweaks are minor and merely reflect a revised styling. Chelsea’s six-wheeled, stretched Defender is the most wild of all. This modern crossover features black trim and tinted glass. It also has 22-inch RS forged tires. The company uses a mixture of perforated and quilted leather inside. Although the changes to the Defender are minor, Chelsea Truck Company is working on more parts that will allow the company to improve the model.
Kahn is offering this Defender for PS69999 (or $87,876 at the current exchange rate). It also includes the Meridian Sound System, 12-way heated, electric memory seat, and a sliding panoramic roof.
The Defender 110 is finally available in the US. Prices start at $49,000. Plus a $1,025 delivery charge. The Americans have two options: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 296 horsepower (221kilowatts) and a mild-hybrid assisted 3.0-liter turbocharged six making 395 horsepower (295 kW). The diesel options from Europe are not available in America at the moment. There are three options for the five-door model: a standard layout with two rows, a version with front benches, or a 5+2 configuration with a third row.
Future spy shots suggest that Land Rover is working on a V8 powertrain to power the Defender. According to current indications, it will use the supercharged eight-cylinder of Land Rover’s 5.0-liter model.
